The first Green Hour of Green Talk in New Year 2014 – 4^th Green Hour ended with a lots pleasure. One year ago, Green Talk has just established, we try to bring our dictates and deed for protecting environment to everyone, Le Van Tam Park became meeting place for volunteers in every Sunday. 4^th Green Hour went through, former volunteers came back to join with the next generation, they feel exciting when the streets near here are cleaner, everyone near here still remember green t-shirts with the slogan “Keep silent or Speak up”

5^th Green Hour also has a special activity – gather guitar team on the 1^st time, ready for  Earth Hour.

A. Gathering guitar team on the 1^st time

1.Candidate

The volunteers who registered to participate in Green Talk’s Guitar team from 24 January to 15 February, 2014.
The ones who want to enquire or answer immediately about Earth Hour Project of UNESCO-CEP.

-Time: 8:30am, 23 February, 2014.
-Place: Le Van Tam Park, District 1, Hochiminh city.

-Content:

 +Introducing act 1000 guitars playing together for Green Hour respond Earth Hour 2014 of Green Talk Project.

+Sharing together about the practice of the song “Khoang troi cua be” at home (accord version link:  http://i.minus.com/iOfME3YgpVWQ1.png , guiding to playing guitar of Duy Hung composer ).

+Dividing into small groups to practice, choosing leader for small groups.

-To be responsible for Guitar team of Green Talk: Bui Anh Duy – Student of International University.

B.  GREEN HOUR 5 AT LE VAN TAM PARK:

I. Guidelines:

1. Application Process:

– The event is open to volunteers who are of interest to environmental concern.

– Application Guide:

+ Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, February 19^th, 2014 at 1PM

List of successful applicants will be announced on Tuesday or Friday at the Volunteer/General List category: LINK (this link serves only for successful applications, thus cannot replace the official list)

In order to become official volunteers, applicants will receive an announcement e-mail and will be required to confirm participation via our fanpage https://www.facebook.com/TinhnguyenvienUNESCO. Confirmation must be submitted by Friday at 4PM. Only verified volunteers shall receive recognition of contribution to Green Talk.

Note: Only volunteers who have fulfilled all requirements are eligible for participation.

2. Preparation:

– 3 used plastic bags at minimum (width 30-40cm)

– Plain white shirt

– Used newspaper, bottles, etc. to exchange for biodegradable bags.

3. Volunteers’ Benefits:

– Participants will receive certificates of participation from UNESCO-CEP, Green Hour volunteers will be qualified for team certificates.

– Have a chance to meet other volunteers who also hold same interest to the environment.

– Fully take part in our event

– Have a chance to become Green Talk’s Core Volunteer.

– Location: Le Van Tam park (Vo Thi Sau gate), district 1, HCMC

– Main activities:

+ Green Hour: picking trash, explicating nilon’s harm to call for a change in behaviour

+ Exchanging used plastic bags for biodegradable bags at Le Van Tam park’s surrounding areas

+ Recording volunteers’ comments before ended
